A dental clinic in Kanda-Ogawamachi and Ochanomizu | Hamille Tokyo Ogawamachi
Teeth whitening
People who enjoy coffee or smoking tend to have discolored teeth, and more and more people are having their teeth whitened.
-
No drilling
Makes the teeth themselves whiter and more beautiful, without drilling.
-
High aesthetic quality
Unlike “cleaning,” which removes stains from the tooth surface, whitening done at a dental clinic bleaches the tooth from the inside, so your teeth can become whiter than their natural shade. Combined with orthodontic treatment, it can give an even more attractive result.
-
We suggest the plan that suits you
We offer in-office whitening and home whitening, as well as dual whitening, which combines the two. Ask us and we’ll suggest the plan that suits you.
How it works
Whitening at a dental clinic can also address the internal causes of yellowing teeth.
-
A discolored tooth
There is a lot of pigment inside teeth that look yellow.
-
Breaking down the pigment
When whitening gel is applied, it penetrates the tooth and breaks down the pigment.
-
A tooth after whitening
Little by little, the pigment decreases, leaving the teeth a translucent white.
Types
-
HAMILLE whitening
In-office whitening
You come to the dental clinic for treatment. Teeth become whiter after a single session, so we especially recommend it for people who want fast results.
-
Home whitening
Whitening at home
You whiten your teeth at home with a dedicated kit. It takes a little longer for the teeth to whiten, but the advantages are that you can take your time and continue until you reach your ideal shade, and the results are less likely to fade.
In-office whitening in detail
Whitening performed by a practitioner at the clinic
In-office whitening uses a dedicated agent applied to the surface of the teeth and a light to whiten them. You can expect results from a single session, and teeth tend to whiten in a relatively short time, so we recommend it for people with plans coming up who want to see results soon, and for anyone who wants an easy way to try whitening.
Advantages
You are likely to see results right away
Disadvantages
It may not reach your desired shade in a single session
Home whitening in detail
Whitening done at home
In home whitening, you wear a mouth tray filled with whitening gel at home. The gel breaks down and removes stains that have soaked into the teeth, making them whiter.
The drawbacks are that it takes time before the teeth whiten, since you wear the tray 2 hours a day for about 2 weeks, and that it takes effort because you do it yourself. The advantage is that you can continue until you are happy with the shade.
Advantages
You can adjust it to the shade you want
Disadvantages
It takes time for the effects to appear
Dual whitening in detail
In-office + at-home whitening
Dual whitening combines in-office whitening and home whitening. The two methods use agents (gels) of different concentrations, which differ in how far they penetrate and how they bleach. Using both lets the agent penetrate a wider area, which can give a more translucent white than either method alone and help the whiteness last longer.
Advantages
You are likely to see results in a short time, and the whiteness lasts
Disadvantages
None
Features
Come and see the results for yourself. We have a great deal of experience with whitening and have handled many different cases.
-
No stinging, no pain
Compared with whitening at a typical dental clinic, sensitivity such as “stinging” or “pain” is far less likely.
-
No dietary restrictions
Coffee, tea and other foods and drinks that stain are fine after whitening.
-
High bleaching effect
We use a photocatalyst that works in the most efficient wavelength range, 470nm to 480nm. Compared with conventional whitening, it achieves a strong bleaching effect with a lower-concentration gel.
-
LED that’s gentle on your gums
We use LED light with harmful UV rays filtered out, which is gentle on your teeth and gums.
-
Time-saving
There is no need to protect the gums, so treatment takes less time and is comfortable and easy on you.
-
Low price
Compared with conventional whitening, it’s very reasonably priced.
Home whitening process
Consultation
We check the current color of your teeth and ask how white you’d like them to be.
Making and handing over your tray
We take an impression of your teeth and make a custom tray that fits them. Then we give you the whitening agent and tray and explain how to use them.
Whitening at home
Whiten at home at any time that suits you, 2 hours a day, for up to about 2 weeks. Pour one dose of whitening agent evenly into the mouth tray and fit it over your teeth. Do not wear the tray while you sleep. After removing the tray, brush your teeth and rinse well, and wash the tray too.
Checkup at the dental clinic
Once whitening is complete, you’ll have a checkup at the dental clinic.
In-office whitening process
Consultation
We check the current color of your teeth and ask how white you’d like them to be.
Cleaning
Depending on the condition of your teeth, we may first do a professional cleaning, such as PMTC (professional mechanical tooth cleaning), to remove tartar and stains.
First whitening session
A dental hygienist performs the whitening at the clinic. After the gums are protected, the agent is applied and the light is shone on the teeth for a few minutes. The exposure time can be extended if you wish. A checkup follows.
